Sunday School 201520141221_104704
Sunday School runs from September to June each year beginning at 10:00 am. There are currently two classes: one for preschool children and the second for children between the ages of seven through twelve. The classes include bible stories, DVDs and fun activities to build the children’s understanding of the lessons. Holy Innocents uses the “One Room Sunday School” curriculum to help the children “Grow, Proclaim and Serve” God.

The children are encouraged to participate in the regular church services by becoming acolytes and standard bearers, to receive communion and to volunteer in the activities and events organized by the church.

“My Faith My Life” is the year long curriculum used to prepare parishioners for confirmation. Preparation includes weekly sessions to learn about the church, volunteer service, regular church attendance and a weekend retreat with the Bishop. Participants are confirmed in the spring at the Episcopal cathedral in Newark.
