Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I have my wedding or civil union at Holy Innocents?

A: Yes, but since we understand ourselves as your church community we'd like to have you get to know us, and expect that you will attend services during the time of preparation (and afterwards, as well). Many of our present members found their way to us either so that they could be married in the church or because they wanted baptism and Christian education for their children.

Q: Is that really a cemetery?

A. Yes -- it may be one of the last remaining active Episcopal churchyards in the area. We have both a cemetery and a Memorial Garden. Many old churches in this country have churchyards associated. In this picture, members are placing flags and flowers for Memorial Day.

Q: So you have a Choir and a Bell Choir?

A. Yes, and our Organist/Music Director Dorris Merrick would love to talk to you about either or both. The Choir practices at 9:30 Sunday mornings, and sings at the 10:00 service. The Bell Choir practices after the coffee hour following the 10:00 service, and rings for special services, as well as doing concerts both in the church and in nearby continuing care facilities. Doris says, "If you can't sing, you CAN ring!"
